My dad is a klepto!

So my parents and Rhett came into town this weekend and we had such a good time!  Lots of good food, good movies, good company, and good shopping.  We haven't seen my folks for a few months, so it was good seeing them!

So back to the original post. 

My mom and I met one of my old coworkers up at Tuesday Morning.  They were having a huge sale, and after that trip she was going to take me to pick out a wedding gift.  Well while in the store, Kim spotted a Hunter ceiling fan, that was marked down from originally $200 then to $100, and finally an incredible $50.  It was a beautiful fan, and with our new house we will need several of them.  So, with the help of my mom and Kim, I decided it was worth the investment!  So we loaded it up and brought it home.

Once we got home we showed my dad and Rhett and they were pretty impressed by my uncharacteristic bargain hunting skills.  However, my dad wanted one too.  We knew that store didn't have anymore like that, so we called the 2 other in Albuquerque, but alas...no ceiling fans!

Well my mom and I were going to go buy him one from Home Depot for Father's Day, but in we totally forgot by the end of the day.

Fast forward to today around 5PM.  My mom called to let me know they made it back to Pampa safely, and about a little surprise.

My dad had loaded up the ceiling fan in their car, without telling my mom, and they drove on home.  My mom had called to apologize (there is no way we will be getting that fan back, because none of us will be driving from Tucson to Pampa anytime soon!). 

My dad is nuts, but he definitely knew what he wanted and took it! Haha!  At least I finally got him a present that he will use!
