So yesterday we got home after running some errands and getting something for dinner, to find that my dog had been on an adventure. This is not an unusual thing for Max. Everytime I walk in the door, I wonder what my dog has gotten into for the day. He is over 3 but definitely still acts like a teething puppy. And he also loves to bury things. He loves to bury everything from the typical socks and rawhide bones, to the unusual boxes of spaghetti, granola bars, camera cases (oh yes with brand new cameras inside), and my grandmother's bra with the prosthesis inside (there is quite an awesome story with this one). But last night was something else.....
Here is my sweet dog Max, a mix between terrier (notice his face and general coloring) and bassett hound (40 lbs of short legs and looong body). Doesn't he look so innocent (do not be deceived)....
Here is my overstuffed chair and a look into my kitchen from the living room area. Notice there is a bar area on the very outside....but also notice the distance between the chair and bar area...(and please don't judge on the clear disarray of my house...)
For better visual for the story here is another picture of the bar/ledge area. Immediately behind it is the kitchen sink and the area for clean dishes to dry.
So anyways, to finish the story up. My "sweet" little dog Max scaled the distance between the chair and the ledge to get up on the bar because there were 2 slices of cherry pie left over from Christmas on the ledge. We were planning on throwing it out, but there was no room in the trash can, and Max has been known to destroy the trash if he smells something that used to be yummy...... The other day Rhett has left some not so good chicken noodle soup on the ledge and we had left for a while , and come back to the bowl upside down under the kitchen table and a soup stain over by the ottoman (which is at least 5 yards apart....if not longer)
