THE THING?

(cue scary music)
We are on a house hunting trip in Tucson this weekend and as we were driving on I-10 we keep seeing billboards for....."The Thing?".

Yes I know....roadside attractions that boast something strange or wonderful are usually bogus.  In my rational mind I know this, but it didn't change the fact that I totally wanted to go!  So we pull up and see this (it must be scary enough if an ambulance is parked in a no parking area....

Regardless I we decided to pay the $1 per person fee to find out what "THE THING?" is really all about.  We start off following the "scary" yellow footprints...

Enter into the 1st of 3 buildings to see ancient devices of torture...(creeeeeepy)

The last picture worthy area involved what I assume was "The Thing?".

sick I know....

So let's recap here people....

Was a 10 minute stop in the middle of nowhere worth $2?

Heck yes, because I got a chocolate dipped cone from DQ adjacent to "THE THING?" AND we are totally expense reporting that 2 bucks!

Woot! Now I know that is back there! We stopped there this last weekend as well but just to get Blizzards. :) Glad it was worth the stop. ;) Call me when you get home. I want to hear all about the houses you saw. :) Looks like a lot of nice new neighborhoods going up.

Awesome! Glad to know I'm not the only one to stop for roadside attractions in the middle of nowhere.
