Trying to get fit...

EDIT: Blogger doesn't seem to recognize the table when I copy and paste, so if you are interested in this plan, visit there website here. Basically every row is a week, and every column is a day. I'm pretty computer/blog stupid!

Hello Blog World!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! It's always great to spend time with family, and eventually I will understand the best way to divide our time up among different folks.

I just wanted to share with you all what I'm doing to try and lose some of this newlywed/moving/unemployed weight (ahem about 20 pounds, yuck).

During my senior year in college, I discovered my love for running. I loved the feeling during and after. It was how I destressed and lost about 10 pounds in the process. I ended up spraining my ankle for the last month or 2 and it took me a long time to get back into it (like around 3ish years).

Well I'm picking it back up, with the thanks of the
couch to 5k running plan.

You can read more about it at their website, but it's a great way to ease into the running. Right now I'm at Week 3 Day 1 (well I did that this morning), and it has been great! If you need a way to ease into running....here's your plan!

wow, girl! you are super organized! Good luck with your plan! I've never been much of a runner, but I love to walk! These cold temps here are really slowing me down. :/

We just finished a Fall Fitness Challenge for the community, and I used this plan in one of the newsletters. I can't wait to get unpregnant and try it out.

My hubby and I used to run together everyday from the time we were juniors in highschool until our 2nd child was born. We have tried to get back into it, but haven't. He is going today actually to buy a new pair of running shoes, so we can start up again soon.
