Working on the married weight gain

Well people...

I've had it.

I'm fat.

My gut has gotten quite large. My thighs are starting to get that ripple that babies have (cute for babies....not for nearly 26 year olds). Everything jiggles, and I have gained like 2 sizes.

So I've had enough. No more.

I feel like crap (tired all the time and moody) and don't want to spend my 20s like that.

Funny thing is that I thought I might be pregnant, so I've taken 2 tests....nope I'm just fat....no fetus growing in there (which is totally fine with us!)

So today I started my weight loss journey.

I dragged my husband out of bed at 5 am, made him drive me to the gym, and we worked out for 25 minutes. I know it's not much, but it's something. And "luckily" we are both incredibly out of shape, so we can encourage each other.

Here's my plan.

MWF mornings I will follow this running plan.
T/TH morning I will lift weights (still no plan for that, so any suggestions would be great).

On all the afternoons, I will do something (besides sit on the computer, watch TV, and eat).
Here are some of my ideas...
-Walk the dog
-Clean up around the house
-30 day shred DVD
-Something on FitTV
-go swimming

Any other suggestions would be quite welcome!

So wish me luck...we have already been to the gym this morning, and I hope to keep it up!

Yay!!! this is great. And I am glad Rhett can be your partner in the journey.

You CAN do it!! Just a little at a time and don't get yourself down.

I like to do the videos here when I'm at home:

Keep it up! :-) You can always just dance around the house for a bit of exercise and that never really feels like work!

This is so great! I'm working on losing weight and it is going well. I'm working out AND counting calories. I'm seeing some great results. I am not running until I'm done nursing BUT I do the Elliptical, a Legs day on the machines and biceps and triceps! I am so excited that you are making this decision!
