Last week I started listening to The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. I am only 1/4 way into the audio book, but I found out that the movie was on Instant Watch on Netflix. And from what my coworker told me, it followed the book very closely, so we watched it.
And I've got to tell you, many of the things about this movie shocked me. Parts of it made me feel physically ill (I don't want to reveal why, because I don't want to ruin the book/movie for anyone), but it moved quickly and I thought it was a really good story line. It is a swedish film with subtitles, but very good. Just a warning, in parts it is very violent and there is some nudity, so if you don't normally watch those movies, maybe read the book first, then decide if you want to watch the movie.
And by far one of the best movies I have seen in a while is Inception! I wasn't really on the band wagon to see this movie, because the trailers are so vague, BUT you NEED to see it!
It is a little long, but it moves so quickly and you are trying to just wrap your mind around all the concepts that are being discussed, that you just don't realize it. It stays with you even after the movie is over. Rhett and I are still thinking about it! There is some "shoot 'em up" type violence, but overall it's a very clean movie.
So folks, go grab your popcorn and sodas, and enjoy some thought provoking flicks!
